Ali Laird is a Research Assistant at the Center of the American West. Originally from western Montana, she holds a B.A. in Humanities from Villanova University and is currently a graduate student in CU Boulder’s philosophy program. She is interested in a range of topics including federal public lands policy, land use planning, conservation in ranching communities, the nature of faith, and how religion and philosophy inform public science policy. She has worked with the US Forest Service and local conservation collaboratives collecting data on forest conditions after logging, and likes to spend her free time increasing her plant ID skills, searching for huckleberries, and trail running.
