The Sonoran Institute
Very useful community planning site administered by the Sonoran Institute.

State of Utah QGET Program
Utah's very informative planning site.

Envision Utah
Envision Utah's useful site, including land use projections for the Wasatch Front.

California Land Use Planning Network
Land use and demography for California; note the section on Demographics, particularly the subsection on Bioregional Demographic Trends and Implications for Biodiversity.

The Great Valley Center
A look at land use change in California's Central valley.

GreenInfo Network
A non-profit geared to supporting the mapmaking and geographic analysis needs of other public interest groups on a fee-for-service basis. They focus mainly on California but can do work throughout the US. High-impact map graphic design and great depth of GIS expertise make them a valuable partner for projects requiring those skills.

Montana Smart Growth Coalition
Very useful resource; site includes a state of the state growth report, an American Planning Association study of Montana land use laws, lots of background on growth-related issues in Montana.

The Strom Thurmond Institute Charleston Urban Growth Model
Excellent example of land use projections (for South Carolina).

USGS Earthshots Progam
A sub-site of "Earthshots," illustrating remote sensing and mapping of land use change for Las Vegas.

USGS Middle Rio Grande Basin Study
Example of federal/local land use mapping collaboration, for the Middle Rio Grande River region.

System for Conservation Planning (SCoP)
A project of Colorado State University's Natural Resources Ecology Laboratory, SCoP is a system that links development, land use, and biodiversity, with some good examples of land use projections.

Sacramento Region Urban Futures Project
Excellent urban futures and land use modeling site for the Sacramento area.

University of California at Davis UPLAN Program
Interactive mapping site for UPLAN, the UC-Davis model for urban future projections.
